Entrepreneurs are the heroes of our time | Hong Kong Future Technology Roadshow Successfully Organised
On 25th September, Hong Kong Future Technology Roadshow was co-organized in Hong Kong science park by HKX Fund, Hong Kong Quantum AI Lab (HKQAI), Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics (HKCRC), Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), Hong Kong X Foundation (HKXF), Hong Kong InnoX Academy (InnoX), and XbotPark.
The event featured nearly 50 technology startups. Hundreds of investment organisations, R&D personnel from Hong Kong universities and industry experts exchanged views.

This is not only an event showcasing the latest technological achievements, but also a feast for the clash of ideas among various parties. It is a gathering of the best minds to discuss the future development of Hong Kong's science and technology, and to jointly promote the prosperity and development of Hong Kong's science and technology ecosystem.
Professor Zexiang Li, Co-Founder of HKXTech Startup Platform and Director of HKCRC, spoke in her welcome speech, saying that entrepreneurs are the heroes of our time.

On the one hand, with the changes in the international situation, many enterprises have shifted their industries to Southeast Asia or Central and South America, where labour and material costs are lower, and some of them are facing a life-and-death situation, with market pressure, industrial transformation pressure, and employment pressure rising sharply.
On the other hand, we cannot just focus on the present, we need to look at the environment we are in today with a longer historical perspective. China's modern history has witnessed two major transformations: Self-Strengthening Movement and Chinese economic reform, both of which were accompanied by the emergence of factories and industrial transformation. It has been said that today we are experiencing the “third economic reform“. China has found a new way to develop, which is to create talents, develop new productivity and cultivate new industries.

Professor Li highly praised over 50 entrepreneurs in this summit. They are courageous in their exploration and are the heroes of this era, setting a heroic example for Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area for 10-20 years of sustained development.
As the Director of HKCRC, Professor Li pointed out that Hong Kong's real estate and construction industries are facing crises and challenges, affecting not only the industries themselves, but also the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and the industries are in dire need of transformation.
In the roadshow session, Dr Haobo Liang, Deputy Director of HKCRC, introduced the Intelligent Tower Crane project. It is a new solution to create a smart construction site by building an intelligent management system with smart tower crane as the hub.

In the afternoon session 3: Intelligent Construction Industry Seminar, four teams from HKCRC brought new solutions from design to construction to inspection and exchanged ideas with the audience from the investment and industry sectors.
