HKCRC and CR Construction Company Signed MoU to Promote Research, Academic and Industry Collaboration and Innovation

On 28th October, Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics(HKCRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CR Construction Company Limited to promote industry-academia-research synergy and innovation in the construction industry. Associate Vice-President for Research and Development (Knowledge Transfer) of HKUST, Dr. Shin Cheul Kim, PhD, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Construction (International) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CR Construction Group Holdings Limited, Mr Guan Manyu, and Deputy Director of HKCRC, Liang Haobo, attended the ceremony.

By signing MoU, both parties will give full play to their respective technical, resource and platform advantages. The cooperations in the fields of technology research and development, talent cultivation and commercial promotion will be conducted, so as to jointly meet the challenges from digital transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.

HKUST has always been committed to knowledge transfer, promoting the close integration of academic research results with industry practices for the benefit of the community. HKCRC, as one of the R&D Centres of HKUST's InnoHK R&D platform, will continue to promote the in-depth fusion of cutting-edge technologies with practical applications in the future, helping to facilitate the wider application of innovative technologies in the construction sector.

Relevant persons in charge of HKUST, HKCRC, CR Construction Company Limited, Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, Hong Kong Housing Society and the University of Hong Kong attended the signing ceremony.
